In every generation there are individuals so uniquely gifted and talented that they stand out from amongst their peers like the brightest shining diamonds in an array of gems. I first ran into Emily Bear (b. 8/30/2001) when I was looking for examples of child pianists to inspire my own children on in their (not quite) daily piano practice. Running into Emily Bear’s performances was above and beyond our hopes and expectations. We’ve heard plenty about child prodigies but to see one in action (even on YouTube) is exhilarating. Not only is her talent impressive, her poise and sweetness immediately lift your spirit.
